My name is Lisa and I live with my husband and daughter in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The name “Avenue M” was created during our trip to New York City with my daughter, Madison, when she was young. We walked a lot of the city taking into the sites and of course we walked Madison Avenue. I thought how I could incorporate my daughter’s name and a memory of our time together into my new venture. We played around with the words until Avenue M was created.
I have been expressing my creativity through sewing and drawing since I was 10 year old. An education in Fashion Design was a natural fit. I attended Drexel University in Philadelphia. I have spent most of my career working for clothing manufacturers in various positions but recently decided to dedicate my full time to my own creative pursuits. I starting doing machine embroidering 12 years ago and totally fell in love! I currently spend as much time as possible making/designing/sewing embroidered and hand-made items.
I also express my creativity through cooking and decorating. I enjoy giving back as much as time will allow. I help seniors cook occasional treats at a local retirement community and belong to a phenomenal group called Makefield Women’s Association-a diverse group of women dedicated to raising funds and providing services to individuals in need.
